Happy, Happy Spring! We’re excited about this cute HOP letter set that is perfect for Easter! We’re so happy you purchased a kit from us-as always, your kit has everything you need to complete this project, except a couple basics like scissors, a pencil, and a sanding block. So clear a little space for crafting, grab your supplies, and let’s get right to the tutorial! Let’s start by tracing the letter onto the paper. The best way to avoid cutting your paper backwards is to lay it on top of your letter the correct way, then just flip the letter and the paper over to trace. Cut out each letter and set the paper aside. Now let’s paint! You will paint everything white. Start by painting the sides - that way you can rotate the letter around as you paint, then lay it flat to paint the back. You only need to paint a little around the edges on the front of each letter since it will be covered with paper.Once the paint is dry, use wood glue to attach the paper. Paint the glue onto the wood, then set your paper. Smooth it out and set the letters face down while the glue dries.Sand the edges of the paper for a seamless look. We don’t recommend sanding the glitter paper, it doesn’t sand well. Next, we need to make the bunny foo-foo tail. We included a small cardboard template in your kit along with some yarn. Start by wrapping the yarn around the short side of template.Leave about 3-4 inches at the end to cut. We’ll use this piece to tie the pom pom.Slide the wrapped yarn off the template and tie your yarn piece around the center of the wrapped yarn.Tie a double knot as tight as you can.Now cut all the loops, fluff and trim.Press the yarn on one side making a somewhat flat surface for gluing.Use a little hot glue to attach the pom pom to the glitter bunny. Finally, tie a piece of ribbon around the letter ‘h’.
All done! Adorable! Thank you so much for crafting with us!
