We are so excited about this cute Christmas Countdown with mini wreath! We are happy you got the kit to make one for yourself, we think it’s the cutest Christmas countdown ever! This is a fun project to make and we’ll walk you through step by step.
What’s in your kit:
- ‘Christmas coundown’ vinyl
- Black paint
- Brush
- Nails
- Mini wreath
- Chalk
- Wood Block*
*If you ordered a kit without wood, you will need a block that is approximately 7 1/4 in. by 18 in.
You will also need:
- Vinyl press (popsicle stick, or credit card)
- Hammer
How to make it
Step 1- Paint:
Start by painting the entire block black. Let dry.
Step 2- Vinyl:
Once the paint is dry, it’s time to apply the vinyl. Peel away the white backing and place the vinyl on the wood. Use a vinyl press, credit card, or popsicle stick to press the words and numbers onto the wood.
Next, peel away the clear transfer tape. It works best to peel at a steep angle working slowly to make sure all the vinyl is staying on the wood.

Step 3- Chalk:
This step is completely optional. We used the side of a piece of chalk to give it a chalkboard look. Color chalk anywhere desired, then wipe away until you’re happy with how it looks.
Step 4- Nails:
This is the final step. Hammer one nail about 1/4 inch above each number, hammering each in halfway. Hammering each nail in at a slight angle upward will help the mini wreath stay in place.
All done! That mini wreath is the cutest thing ever, right?! We hope you have fun counting down the days until Christmas with this sign!
